Anne Celeste Heche (born in 1939) was an American actress who performed a variety of roles in television, films and the theater. Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6, 1953) is an American actress. She is known best for her character of Lieutenant Sheba in her role in the Battlestar Galactica television series (1978-1979). Lockhart is the grandchild and daughter of actor Gene Lockhart, as well as the actress June Lockhart. Lockhart was only a few years old at the time her professional career started. When she was just four, Lockhart appeared in the film T is for Tumbleweed. The short film on the subject was chosen for nomination by the Academy Awards. Anne has no memory of getting invited with the name of John Carpenter or being offered the job. It is possible that one of her agents turned it down on her behalf without telling the actress. Glen Larson, who had sent her the very first draft script of a character in the television series Battlestar Galactica from 1978, first chose her. The character was weak enough to convince her to take on the role. Glen then wrote her an even stronger character with Sheba. The Living Legend, the initial twenty-five pages she read and was subsequently accepted. It lasted for one season. The actress co-starred on Joyride with Desi Arnaz Jr., Melanie Griffith (the daughter of Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucille Bell), Robert Carradine and Melanie Griffith in 1977 and in The Dark Tower with Michael Moriarty (1987).
